A teenager set a new world record with an incredible yoga move, as she performed the tricky Asana 15 times in just one minutes.
Khushi Hemachandra, aged 13, got herself in the Golden Book of Records with her amazing feat, which is a complex combination of backbends, back planks and crunches.
Video footage from her record breaking feat shows the teenager dropping backwards with her arms folded, sliding down onto the floor head first.
Then she manages to push herself back up without her hands, using her core and leg muscles to propel herself up.
Her father Hemachandra said: ‘Khushi was only able to perform the asana 13 times during practice but on stage, she outdid herself and performed it 15 times.’
Khushi’s incredible display impressed everybody present at the community hall in her home village of Mysuru, including the representatives of Golden Book Of Records.
Her father said Khushi began practicing Yoga a while ago to resolve some breathing problems.
But her passion was ignited and now she is a Yoga practitioner who has represented India internationally. She won two golds and two silvers at an event in Vietnam in 2016.
Khushi is a student of 9th standard aspires to become a Yoga teacher one day. She also hopes to crack India’s toughest civil services exam.
