Ekpo urges Rohr to look inward for Eagles solution

Former Nigeria international Friday Ekpo has urged coach Gernot Rohr to look inward in his search for younger players that can complement the current set of young players in the Super Eagles team stating that the coach needs to broaden his scope in the scouting of players without any form of bias.
Ekpo speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said it will be so shocking that at times the missing link might just be one player playing at home in the league.
He also said the exit of Mikel Obi after announcing his retirement from the national team wouldn’t be much of a big deal because players have always come and gone before Mikel but depends on ensuring the Eagles technical crew creatively get a new replacement.
“They should begin to come home front now, we gave good quality players in the league. The Madagascar team that defeated us has more  home based players in their team and yet they defeated our professionals.
So many of us retired before now and the role has always been filled somehow depending on whoever is scouting for players and making technical recommendations.”
