Nigerian duo Chidera Ejuke and Alhassan Yusuf combined to help to help Royale Antwerp to a 3-0 win over St. Truiden.
The duo were involved from the start, and Ejuke was voted man on the match after his goal and assist.
In a riveting match marked by a goalless first half, Antwerp orchestrated a remarkable turnaround in the second half.
Jacob Ondrejka broke the deadlock from the penalty spot in the 62nd minute, setting the stage for a thrilling series of events.
Twelve minutes later, Ejuke notched his third goal of the season, extending Antwerp’s lead.
As momentum continued the Nigerian midfielder provided his third assist of the season for Antwerp’s third goal, securing Ondrejka’s second of the match with a mere three minutes remaining.
With the clock ticking away, Antwerp boss Marc van Bommel made tactically changes with the substitution of Yusuf and his compatriot as the hosts closed out the game.
