Ejuke open up on his relationship with teammate Hamdi Akujobi

Nigeria winger Chidera Ejuke has spoken about his relationship with teammates Hamdi Akujobi and he helped him to settle at Dutch club SC Heerenveen.

Ejuke who enjoyed a very good season in the Dutch Eredivisie hailed Hamdi Akujobi for making things easier for him when he arrived in the Netherlands from Norway.

 

Hamdi who is born to a Nigerian father also hold Dutch passport and he’s also a highly-rated midfielder.

 

The 20-year-old Hamdi was called up for the preliminary Nigeria national under-20 football team for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

 

“Hamdi has not been to Nigeria often but my connection with him was instant,” Ejuke said with a big smile.

 

“He helped me around when I first came and made things easy for me.

 

“We also communicate very well by using the pidgin English, which a broken form of English, it’s a mixture of languages some of which don’t really have a meaning.

 

“Like ‘Hamdi wetin you dey do?’, which is the same thing as ‘Hamdi what are you doing?

 

Ejuke scored nine goals and made four assists in his debut league season for Heerenveen has also been linked with a move to Ajax Amsterdam.
