Ejuke falls with CSKA Moscow in defeat to Zenit

Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke couldn’t save his club, CSKA Moscow from defeat at home to Zenit Saint Petersburg in the Russia Premier league game, Wednesday.

Ejuke was action for 90 minutes and grabbed an assist for his team’s opening goal of the game in the 2-3 defeat.

 

The winger set up Venezuelan striker Salomon Rondo who gave the CSKA Moscow the lead in the 28 minute.

 

The 23-year-old Nigerian has scored just twice in his 18 league appearances for the club this season.

 

CSKA Moscow’s lead lasted for five minutes as Artem Dzyuba restored parity, thanks to a delightful assist from Daler Kuzyaev.

Nikola Vlasic later got a consolation goal for the hosts with the last kick of the game.
