Egypt’s coach Hossam El-Badry banking on Salah and others to wreck Eagles

Egypt head coach Hossam El-Badry says he’s confident his team will do well against the Super Eagles and the two other teams in the African Cup of Nations.

The eight-time champions were placed in Group D of the African Football Fiesta alongside Nigeria, Sudan, and Guinea-Bissau.

The Pharaoh and The Super Eagles are favorites to come out of the Group, while Sudan and Guinea-Bissau were tipped for an early exit from the tournament.

Speaking to Egyptian media, El-Badry opined that every game will be different and difficult, but he’s trusting his players to get the job done.

“Our group was quite balanced and not easy due to the improvement of all these teams, who also have great players,” El-Badry was quoted by Kingfut.com.

“I have great confidence in God and in the capabilities of the players to overcome this group and perform well to satisfy the aspirations of the Egyptian fans.

Egypt defeated Nigeria 3-1 the last time they met in the tournament and they will rekindle their rivalry at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium, Garoua on January 11.
