Crawley Town’s new signing, Benjamin Tanimu has been called up to the Super Eagles squad as a late replacement for Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Tanimu has already joined the team’s training camp in Uyo.

The 22 year-old was initially not included in the squad but was called upon to step in after Osayi-Samuel suffered an ankle injury.

Osayi-Samuel missed Fenerbahce’s league match against Rizespor on Sunday, with Turkish outlet Haberanlik reporting that the player is currently recovering from the injury.

The Super Eagles are set to face the Benin Republic at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on September 7.

Following that match, they will play against Rwanda at the Stade Amahoro in Kigali on September 10.
