Super Eagles coach Austin Eguavoen refused to talk about the performance of the centre referee, after the goalless draw against Black Stars of Ghana on Friday.
The Super Eagles were awarded a penalty in the second of the game, after a Ghananian defender handled the ball the ball in the penalty area.
However, the decision was overturned by the officials, following an intervention from the Video Assistant Referee .
Asked if he’s satisfied with the decision, Eguavoen said, he doesn’t like to comment on the performance of the officials, after what he experienced during his playing days.
“You see I don’t like to speak about Referees because I wassuspended at some point in time in my career I had the chance to goand play in England. But, I was a player, I had a talk with the Referee for bad decisions and I was suspended for a very long time. So I just leave Referees to their fate.” He said.
The Super Eagles will now turn their attention to the all important second leg on Tuesday in Abuja.
