Austine Eguavoen said Maduka Okoye can join the Super Eagles squad once he’s fully fit.
Okoye was among the 27 players listed to confront Ghana in a fifa World Cup playoff in Kumasi and Abuja.
However the Sparta Rotherham goalkeeper won’t be available for the first meeting, due to illness and Enyimba’s shot-stoper John Noble has been drafted in as his replacement.
Speaking to the media after Tuesday’s training session, technical adviser, Austine Eguavoen says, Maduka Okoye can join the team, once he recover from the illness.
“I got a message from Maduka Okoye, that he is going to come but we have a backup in John Noble who is is going join us. If Maduka recovers and joins us there is no problem.but we have Noble as a backup.” He said .
The Super Eagles will tackle the Black Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Friday. Then return to the Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja for the reversed fixture four days later.
