Former Super Eagles manager, Austin Eguavoen (Cerezo) has been appointed as the Technical Director of Slovenian second division side, NK Drava Dakinda.
The club founded in 2004 play their home games at the 1,592 capacity Ptuj City Stadium.
They finished 7th at the end of the 2018/2019 Slovenian second division.
Eguavoen was a member of the Nigeria squad that qualified for the country’s first-ever World Cup in 1994 and won the African Nations Cup in the same year.
He began his coaching career in Malta with Sliema Wanderers and was given the job for the 2000–01 season where he guided the club to a 2nd-place finish.
The 53-year-old began his career with ACB Lagos in Nigeria and some impressive performances gained him a move to Gent in 1986.
Austin went on to play for K.V. Kortrijk, CD Ourense, Sacramento Scorpions, Torpedo Moscow and finished his career in Malta with Sliema Wanderers.
