Eguaveon reveals plans to stop Egypt’s talisman Mohammed Salah

Nigeria will begin their quest for the fourth African Cup of Nations crown with the match against Pharaoh of Egypt.

The Group D encounter will take place on the 11th of January at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium in the Garaou.

The Egyptians are the most successful team in the history of the tournament — winning on eight occasions and they are among the favorites once the again.

The Pharaohs attack will be led by talisman Mohammed Salah who is one of the greatest footballers playing today, and Eguaveon said plans are already on the way to stop him and others.

“We have to do that because Egypt seven times winners is a team I’ve played against I have coached against them at junior level. We know what they can bring to the table, not a pushover team.” Eguaveon said.

“Mind you every team that qualify for the AFCON is not a pushover and we are going to do everything possible to see how we can analyse them individually and collectively and map out the strategy.”

After the clash with Egypt, the Super will face Sudan, before rounding off the Group outing against another minors Guinea-Bissau.
