Effiong Ndifreke joins Libyan giants Ahli Benghazi

Striker Effiong Ndifreke has left Nigeria professional football league outfit Akwa United to join Libyan giants Al Ahli Benghazi.

The home based Super Eagles striker signed a three and half years deal with the club, but his transfer fees was not disclosed.

Ahli Benghazi confirmed the arrival of the 26 year old striker in a statement released via their social media handle on Thursday morning.

“There is a chinese rocket orbiting in space ;  here is a Nigerian missile that will be heard everywhere.”

 

“Together, we welcome our second deal in the Mercato, Nigeria’s striker, Ndifreke Effiong. He will strengthen our team for 3 and a half year, starting from the second leg of the season ” the club said in a statement.

The former Abia Warriors striker is Ahli Benghazi second major signing of the window Maliian midfielder Sadio Kanouté (24) who joined from Stade Malien on a three-and-half year contract.

For Akwa United FC this season,  Ndifreke made 19 appearances scored 8 goals and notched 5 assists.
