Rivers Angels Head Coach Edwin Okon says he’s satisfied with his display against Vihiga Queens of Kenya on Friday.
Edwin Okon ladies put four past the Kenyans in Friday’s final CAF Women’s Champions League Group game inside the 30 June Stadium in Cairo.
The Nigerian side started the tournament poorly and lost their first two game of the competition to ASFAR of Morroco and Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa respectively.
“Firstly,I’m happy with today’s victory even though it didn’t come easy but I’m glad we came out of it.
“One can’t recall the last two matches which saw us losing and being in the position we are right now.
“The team isn’t as bad as people say,it was just luck”. Okon said after the game.
Meanwhile, Rivers Angels finished third in Group B with three points from three matches.
Mamelodi Sundowns won the Group with seven points, while ASFAR finished as runner up with four points.
