Edo Queens Duo Make CAF Women’s Champions League 2024 Group Stages Best XI

The CAF Technical Study Group (TSG) has officially unveiled its Best XI from the group stages of the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco, and Edo Queens with two of their players making the final list.

The Best XI is led by a strong contingent from Moroccan club AS FAR, who dominated the group stages. AS FAR’s goalkeeper Khadija Er-Rmichi, with just one goal conceded, was named the top goalkeeper, while Nouhaila Benzina and Sanaa Mssoudy also earned spots in the lineup.
Other notable selections include FC Masar’s Shadia Nankya and Sandrine Niyonkuru, as well as Mamelodi Sundowns’ Karabo Dhlamini and TP Mazembe’s Lacho Marta.
The group stage also saw individual performances, with AS FAR’s Doha El Madani being the top scorer with five goals, while Sanaa Mssoudy earned recognition as the Best Player of the group stages.
