Edo Queens Await WAFU B Women’s Champions League Draw in Cairo

NWFL Champions, Edo Queens will find out their group stage opponents in the WAFU B Women’s Champions League next Wednesday.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced that the draw will take place at its headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

Edo Queens are taking part in the competition for the first time after winning the Nigerian league in May under coach Moses Aduku.

The draw for other regional qualifiers, including CECAFA, UNAF, and UNIFFAC, will also be conducted on the same day.

The qualified teams for the WAFU B tournament include hosts FC Inter D’Abidjan of Cote d’Ivoire, Hasaacas Ladies of Ghana, Burkina Faso’s AO Étincelles OR USFA, Ainonvi FC of Benin Republic, AS GNN of Niger Republic, and ASKO FC of Togo.

FC Inter D’Abidjan and Hasaacas Ladies are seeded for the draw.

The tournament will be held from August 10 to 23 in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny and Champroux Stadium.

The winner will represent the WAFU B zone in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
