Edna Imade On Target, But Granada Falls to Real Betis

Forward, Edna Imade scored her third league goal of the season, but her efforts wasn’t enough as Granada lost 2-1 to Real Betis in a Spanish Liga F clash, Saturday, at the Ciudad Deportiva del Granada.

Real Betis took control early, with Rosa Marquez capitalizing on a defensive mix-up to score within the first four minutes.

Granada fought back and earned a penalty in the second half, which Imade confidently converted, sending the Betis goalkeeper the wrong way to level the score.

However, Carla Armengol restored Betis’ lead in the 75th minute, sliding the ball past Granada’s defense to make it 2-1.

Real Betis held on to the lead, blocking Granada’s push for a second equalizer, to secure the three points.

Imade was substituted in the 74th minute of the game. She has now scored three goals in seven league appearances.

With the loss, Granada sits 10th in the league standings with six points from seven games.

They will host Sevilla in their next fixture on November 3, after the international break.
