Edith Agoye has left his role as the head coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan.
Agoye opted to walk away from the position after the expiration of his contract and brought an end a nine-year relationship with the Oluyole Warriors.
His decision to throw in towel is not surprising, as he has been under intense pressure from the fans and media for the past six months.
The former attacker guided 3SC back to the NPFL after several years in the lower division, but they didn’t impress, in spite of their spendings.
Meanwhile the Oluyole Warriors are expected appoint Gbenga Ogunbote as new head coach for the coming season.
Ogunbote left Remo Stars after guiding them to a third place finish on the league last season, and secure a CAF Confederations Cup ticket.
