Echegini Thrilled with Super Falcons Olympic Call-Up

Paris Saint-Germain Féminine forward Jennifer Echegini has voiced her excitement about being named to the Super Falcons squad for the upcoming Olympic Games.

Echegini was among the 18 players selected by Super Falcons coach Randy Waldrum for the Games.

Speaking to NFF TV, the former Florida State Seminoles star expressed her enthusiasm.

“I’m excited to be part of the squad for this big tournament,” said the player. “It’s always an honour to wear Nigeria’s crest. It is a big honour for me to be part of this team.”

The midfielder recently joined PSG following the expiration of her contract with Juventus, where she netted ten goals in fourteen games last season.

Echegini is expected to bring the same scoring prowess to the Falcons as they begin their campaign in Paris.

The nine-time African champions will face Spain, Brazil, and Japan in Group C.
