Tyrone Ebuehi and Sadiq Umar have been drafted into to Super Eagles squad for October’s friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.

Ebuehi and Sadiq took the place of Nottingham Forest’s duo, Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi, who pulled out of the training tour due to injury.

Sadiq is making a return to international football for the first time since 2022, no thanks to injury that kept him out of action for almost a year.

Meanwhile, another injury update was confirmed, Monday, as Jamilu Collins pulled out of  the friendlies. He has since been replaced with Chidozie Awaziem.

The Super Eagles will take on Saudi Arabia in Portimao, Portugal, this Friday before filing out against
Mozambique three days later.

Both games are part of the team’s preparations for 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
