Onome Ebi Targets Win against Australia

Nigerian CB, Onome Ebi is confident the Super Falcons can get a good result against Australia on Thursday.

The Super Falcons will face Australia’s Matildas in their second Group B game of the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup, with the sides needing three points to stay on course for the round of 16.

With their previous display of resilience in a draw against Canada, the Nigerian side has already proven their capabilities on the field.

“Of course, it is the World Cup and you have to accept the fact that you’ll play the best teams in the world.

“You have to be alive to that responsibility and face it with your full chest,” Ebi told thenff.com.

“We will go in there and play to win. There are no two ways about it. Only three points will be good enough for us.”

Meanwhile, Asisat Oshoala is doubtful for the game following concerns of an hamstring.
