Super Falcons defender Onome Ebi says she’s delighted to be playing in her fifth Women’s World Cup with Nigeria.
The 36-year-old China-based defender is a member of the Nigerian national team, taking part in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015 FIFA Women’s World before this year’s edition in France.
The Henan Huishang defender who captained Nigeria to African Women’s Cup of Nations last year said she’s happy to see her dreams coming into reality.
“I’m really excited, first, I want to say thanks to God for making me see this day”, the defender stated.
“Appearing at the 5th time at the Women’s World Cup is never an easy journey”,
‘ I’ve worked hard for it and now it’s coming to pass and I’m really excited about it”.
Nigeria will take on Norway in their first match in Group A that also consists of Korea Republic and hosts nation France.
