Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze has been called up to England’s senior squad for upcoming international window.
Eze, 24, is among the players named by manager Gareth Southgate for June’s Euro qualifiers against Malta and North Marcedonia.
Eze who once played for England’s U21 was rewarded with a place in the squad for his fine form for the Roy Rodgson’s side for the last few months.
Eze is eligible to play for Nigeria and has trained with Super Eagles in London in the past.
The Super Eagles coaching crew at the time failed to cap him, paving way for England to snatch him.
Meanwhile, Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham who also snubbed invitation from Nigeria were left out of the squad.
Arsenal’s youngster, Bukayo Saka retained his place in the team.
