Former coach of Nigeria’s U17 national team Manu Garba has stated that the inability of the Eaglets of Nigeria to progress beyond the quarter-final of the ongoing CAF Africa U17 Cup of Nations is a major setback for Nigeria and the careers of the players who missed out on the chance to participate at the FIFA U17 world cup later this year after losing 2-1 to Burkina Faso in Thursday’s quarter-final clash.

Garba speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that the team’s exit from the competition is most unfortunate and one that has the tendency to slow down the career of some of the players in the team who would have benefited from playing and showcasing their skills at the world cup.
