Eaglets seek early qualification and top spot ahead Ecuador tie – Atune

Assistant coach of Nigeria’s U17 national team Jolomi Atune has stated that the  Nigeria U17 national team is set to achieve some of its tournaments objectives early enough as they bid to secure qualification to the next round of the FIFA U17 world cup and be on track to top its group.

Atune speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the team is ready for the Ecuadorian challenge as they also hope to qualify in style as group winners so as to create an easier pathway for the team in the knockout rounds.
“We are set to take on the Ecuador team and God willing victory is ours because we want to make sure we qualify as top in our group so that we shall meet a weaker team though in the world cup there is no team that is weak but at least a third placed team in the next round so that it will be a good one to get an easier route to make the quarter final.”
