Eagles should be worried by South Africa – Adepoju

Former Nigeria international Mutiu Adepoju has stated that Nigeria should be worried about her next challenge against South Africa at the quarter-final stage of the ongoing Africa cup of nations following the Bafana Bafana showing against host nation Egypt at the round of 16 over the weekend.

Adepoju speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the Nigerian team surely do have the players to do the job but more importantly is to note the recent turn of results against South Africa and how tough they seem to have become against Nigeria lately. He advised that the Eagles take the challenge very seriously.
“We should be worried for example eliminating host nation Egypt and beating us in the second to the last meeting and other games we’ve played against them.
I believe we have a chance against them because we have the players and more so when we look at what out players did against Cameroon where the team showed character to come back to win.”
