Eagles number one Goalkeeper Ezenwa joins Enyimba

Super Eagles first Choice goalkeeper, Ezenwa has penned a one-year deal with the Peoples Elephant after parting ways with FC Ifeanyi Ubah.

Enyimba and Enugu Rangers have won the highest number of titles (seven) in the history of the NPFL. And Ezenwa is determined to make his stay with the Aba side a successful one.

“Enyimba going by the record remains the most successful club in Nigeria and I’m happy to be part of this great team,” Ezenwa told reporters.

The 29-years-old who has had a fantastic 2017 that saw him become the senior National team’s number one Goalkeeper in very important World Cup qualifying games, will, however, have serious contentions from current no.1 of Enyimba, Theophilus Afelokhai.

Ezenwa, who is also the Captain of the Home-based Eagles is seen as quality addition by the Peoples’ Elephant, especially in the goalkeeping department ahead of their continental onslaught next season in the CAF Confederations Cup and the 2017/2018 NPFL season.

The goalkeeper recently left FC Ifeanyi Ubah after the expiration of his contract and was also wanted by four-time champions, Kano Pillars and former NPFL winners, Rangers International.
