Coach of Nigeria’s triumphant D’Tigress team Otis Hughley has called on the Federal Government to ensure that the players and members of the victorious D’Tigress team get well compensated for their successful title defence at the just concluded women Afrobasket in Senegal.
Hughley speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said he hopes the players get well compensated for their effort and get promptly rewarded without too much bureaucratic hassle in redeeming such rewards so as to ensure the girls get motivated for doing the national proud and not just pull publicity stunts without rewards for the main actors.
“For me I’m hoping all these girls be compensated by the Government. It just don’t make sense how the achievement all these girls make go home empty handed and nothing much other than the Federation give. And there are also lot of trouble getting their promises from the government and all sorts of publicity with the girls getting nothing eventually.”
