Nigeria Women’s Basketball team, D’Tigress, lost to Serbia in Belgrade in their second preparatory match for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, on Sunday.

The African champions fell 70-62 to the 10th-best team in the World.

This match marks the second pre-Olympic fixture for D’Tigress, who previously lost 77-63 to Germany at the UBER Arena in Berlin on Friday.

D’Tigress struggled to gain momentum, allowing Serbia to maintain control throughout the game.

The team is set to play their final warm-up game against Japan on July 24 in Lille, France, before the Olympic basketball event tips off.

Nigeria faces a challenging path in Group B, where they will compete against formidable opponents including Canada, Australia, and host nation France.

Australia is ranked third in the world, while Canada and France are ranked fifth and seventh, respectively, making the group stage a daunting task for the Nigerians.
