As part of their preparation for the upcoming 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, Nigeria Women’s Basketball team, D’Tigress, is set to play three crucial preparatory matches.

The team will face Germany on July 19 in Berlin and Puerto Rico on July 24 in France.

These matches are pivotal for Head Coach Rena Wakama, who will use them to finalize the selection of the 12 players who will represent Nigeria in Paris later this month.

D’Tigress, one of Africa’s representatives in the basketball event of the 2024 Olympics, have been drawn into a challenging group alongside Australia, Canada, and France.

The Olympic basketball tournament is scheduled to take place from July 27 to August 11 at the Bercy Arena in Paris.

Despite the tough competition, with all three opponents in Group B ranked higher than Nigeria, Wakama will be determined to make a strong showing on the global stage.
