Vice Chairman of the Caretaker committee in charge of Nigeria Basketball Federation Babatunde Ogunade has stated that the Federation as well as the national men basketball team will not be complacent ahead of today’s draws for the 2023 FIBA world cup qualifiers in Switzerland. 

Ogunade speaking in a chat with brila.net said while the rankings are good for Nigeria as top ranked and seeded team going to the draws, they will be mindful of how easily shocks CA happen and the need to ensure they avoid this. 16 African countries will be drawn for the world cup qualifiers.
