The Nigeria senior men’s basketball team, D’Tigers, have begun preparations for the third phase of the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket qualifiers with a training camp in Abuja starting today, February 10.

Coach Abdulrahman Mohammed will lead D’Tigers in the 2025 AfroBasket Qualifiers.
Home-based players will report to Abuja for the first phase of camp from February 10 to 16.
Foreign-based players will join the squad directly in Tripoli, Libya, on February 17, ahead of the qualifiers scheduled for February 17-24.

Assistants: Former D’Tigers star Deji Akindele and Isikaku Smart (NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers).
D’Tigers Qualification Situation
Nigeria is bottom of Group B, having lost all three games in the previous round of qualifiers in 2024.
Only the top three teams from the group will qualify for the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket tournament in Angola.
