D’Tigers and Tigress now attractive national teams in world basketball – Ogunade

Vice President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation Babatunde Ogunade has stated that the Nigerian basketball national teams have become attractive national teams in world basketball.

Ogunade speaking in a chat with  brila.net said the Nigeria national team exploits in major international competitions have taken the teams to new heights that caught the attention of people who now wants to readily identify with the national teams of Nigeria and that this will be a wake-up call to Nigerians abroad who are still in doubt as to whether to chose Nigeria or not.
“I’m happy that our basketball is at a pedestal or at a level where foreigners are even willing to change their nationality to come and play for the country (Nigeria).
“I’m very happy and this cut across Male and Female, NCAA players, NBA players. I guess this is a wake-up call for Nigerians who are there who are still foot-dragging. For an American to have signified interest to play for Nigeria, it’s a good thing.”
