Goalkeeper Adamu Abubakar has joined Plateau United from Wikki Tourists ahead of the 2020-2021 Nigeria professional football league season.

Nigeria national U23 team confirmed his transfer to the 2020-2021 CAF Champions League campaigners on Monday.

His arrival means the coach of Plateau United, Abdu Maikaba has strengthened his goalkeeping department, although David Obiozor is likely to move to Lobi Stars, while first Chinedu Anozie is yet to sign a new deal with the club.

Adamu Abubakar is Plateau United’s seventh signing of the current transfer window.

The club has also confirmed the arrival of Wasiu Jimoh, Bashir Abdulrahman, and Sunday Adetunji, but experience striker Tosin Omoyele has been linked with a move away from the  Club.

Enyimba International of Aba are reportedly interested in signing the former Osun United forward.
