Dosu urges home-based players not to be discouraged by their status

Dosu Joseph has urged home based players not to be discouraged by the seeming neglect they may have suffered with regards to been handed consideration for national team assignment stressing that they still have a future to play for and a career to aspire to.

The Atlanta 96 Gold medalist speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the players should continue to give their best for their respective clubs and note that they never can tell when they will be scouted by either a national team coach or even a career turning opportunity by virtue of their display in the Nigeria Professional football league.
“We complain the league is not good but the players shouldn’t look at it that way. All they need to do is to put in their best because you don’t know who is watching you from afar. If you keep on complaining, how do you want to give your best for your club when you’re playing.
So you need to do your best and leave the rest. Playing in the home front doesn’t make you a bad player even though if the coaches are not looking at you.”
