Former Super Eagles forward Brown Ideye has advised Napoli striker Victor Osimhen to consider a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli.

Reports indicate that Al-Ahli has proposed a staggering weekly wage of £750,000 for Osimhen, more than double what he currently earns at Napoli.

Following these reports, Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, issued a statement suggesting that his client is open to moving to the Middle East.

Ideye, however, warned that Osimhen would be making a mistake if he turned down the offer.

“Don’t miss a move that will set you and your family up for life,” Ideye remarked. “In football, every game you play may be your last.”

Reflecting on his own experience, Ideye shared, “I had no plans to go to China, but Olympiacos received an offer from TEDA that they couldn’t refuse.

“My agent negotiated my salary and bonuses, and when I saw the figures, I told my wife, and she packed my luggage for me to leave the next day, lol.”

Brown Ideye added that the financial security such moves can provide.

“Every player dreams of playing for one of the big clubs in Europe and winning trophies, but the ultimate goal is to be comfortable after football.

“The only way to ensure that is by making good money while playing,” he concluded.
