Napoli manager Antonio Conte, has confirmed striker, Victor Osimhen has been training separately amid a potential summer transfer from the Club.

The Nigerian, who recently handed in a transfer request, to leave Napoli, has been heavily linked Chelsea amongst others which include Arsenal and PSG.

Osimhen was left out of Conte’s first official game in the Coppa Italia and their opening Serie A match over the weekend.

Napoli lost 3-0 to Verona in Sunday’s league game; a frustrating situation for the Coach, who maintains that the club management was the main factor behind Victor Osimhen’s omission.

“This is a question you have to ask the club and not me. I see that Osimhen has been training separately since his return,” Conte confirmed when quizzed about the Striker’s situation.

“You have to ask the club, absolutely not to me. I said it straight away; I put myself as a spectator on this story. But beyond a single player, you certainly need to have a different attitude, with more personality and more desire.”

“I’ve found some kids who struggle with the difficulty, and this is a serious thing because you don’t train them in a very short time; you have to have time and patience. You have to try to make them grow in terms of mentality,” Antonio Conte concluded.
