Enyimba diminutive forward Stanley Dimgba has suggested that the LMC may have to consider the option of a super 6 if organizing the remainder of the season prove difficult in the light of the current Covid-19 situation.
Dimgba speaking in a chat with brila.net said the situation is dicey but football still has to be played to determine who represents the country in the CAF clubs competitions as well as determining the eventual league winner for the season.
He noted that the idea of finishing the league normally might not look feasible in the immediate as things stand now.
“I don’t think that we can finish this season, anyhow they are the organizers of the league if they can organize the league so we can finish the league fine, but if they cannot finish the league, I think we are supposed to play Super 6 so we can get teams that will represent us in the CAF champions league and the Confederation Cup.
For now, I don’t know whether we can finish the league or not but if they can finish it they know how to set it up. If they cannot finish it, I think they would have to go for Super 6.”
