The Diamond League has announced the dates for its next season following the successful conclusion of the 2024 campaign.
The 2024 season wrapped up in Brussels last month, with victorious athletes taking home thousands of dollars in prize money.
The 2025 Diamond League will kick off in Xiamen on April 26th and remain in China for the second event of the season in Shanghai/Suzhou on May 3rd.
The series will then move to Doha and Rabat before hosting its first European meeting of the year in Rome on June 6th.
Several events will come up in Oslo, Stockholm, and Paris later in the year, before Eugene, Monaco, and London in July and August.
After meetings in Silesia, Lausanne, and Brussels, the Wanda Diamond League Final will return to Zurich for the first time since 2022, taking place on August 27th-28th.
All 32 Wanda Diamond League champions will be crowned at the series finale, Weltklasse Zurich, where both the prestigious Diamond Trophy and record-breaking prize money will be up for grabs.
With the 2025 World Athletics Championships set to be held in Tokyo in September, the Wanda Diamond League will serve as the ideal preparation platform for the year’s major global competition.
The organizers recently announced total of 9.24 million US dollars in prize money.
