Cyriel Dessers is happy with the tactics deployed by Super Eagles interim boss Finidi George in their win over Ghana.

Finidi adopted a 3-5-2 formation for the game and it worked well in their favour as the Ghanaians struggled to pose any threat during the game.

The Su[er Eagles eventually won the game 2-1 with Dessers scoring the first goal of the game, from the spot.

Victory on the day ensured Nigeria’s first win over Ghana at senior level in 18 years.

Dessers, believes the tactics employed by the Coach made the difference.

“He had a clear approach to this game – press aggressive and create more chances in this manner and I think we did that,” He said.

Finidi will be in charge once again when Nigeria battle Mali in Morocco on Tuesday.
