Striker Cyril Dessers says he is hoping to get enough playing time for Genk next season.
The 26-year-old striker believes he has what he takes to replace number one Paul Onuachu who is set to move away from the club.
Dessers played most of last season as back up for his international teammate Paul Onuachu who eventually finished as the Jupiler top scorer with 33 goals.
The lanky forward is expected to move to another club this summer and Dessers, believes his departure could would increase his chances of playing.
Dessers managed to scored seven goals, despite playing as as a substitute for majority part of the season.
“Wouldn’t they just sell Onuachu? Hopefully, that would be good for me,” Dessers told voetbalniews.
Dessers joined Genk last summer from Dutch Eredivisie side Heracles Almelo after a successful campaign.
