Nigeria’s Cyriel Dessers is a transfer target for Italian Serie A outfit Fiorentina.
According to Voetbolprimeur.be, the Viola have made first contact with Racing Genk and the camp of the player to register their interest.
Fiorentina want a striker to fill the void created by the departure of Dusan Vlahovic in January.
Dessers spent the 2021-2022 campaign on loan at Dutch side Feyenoord and quickly became a cult hero, guiding them to the final of the Europa Conference League.
Feyenoord could not exercise the option to sign the striker permanently, after considering him too expensive for £4 million.
Genk however expect Fiorentina to match their valuation of four million euros and if not the 27-year-old will remain with the Club.
Dessers scored 21 goals for Feyenoord last season and also marked his first start for Nigeria with a goal.
