A first-half goal from Cyriel Dessers earned Glasgow Rangers 1-0 win over Motherwell 1-0 at Ibrox on Sunday.

Dessers got the game’s solitary goal in the 24th minute when converted Rabbi Matondo’s pass past the Motherwell goalkeeper, Liam Kelly.

The Forward had chances to extend the lead for the home but was denied by good defending from the visitors.

So far this season, the 28-year-old has now scored two goals in five league appearances and for the Light Blues this season.

While he was replaced by Ryan Jack in the 67th minute, his compatriot Leon Balogun, was left to make the matchday squad.

Cyriel Dessers will be hoping for another successful outing when Rangers take on Livingston for Viaplay Cup quarter-final in midweek.
