Cyriel Dessers is on his way out of Cremonese after joining less than a year ago.
The striker is reportedly having transfer discussion with Rangers FC, according to various local Italian and Scottish media.
De Telegraaf reported that Cyriel Dessers is a target for Scottish giants, Rangers along with Sam Lammers and both players are interested in the move.
Glasgow Times, Calcio Cremonese and transfer journalist Nicolò Schira, also claimed that Rangers are leading the race to sign the forward.
Dessers signed for Cremonese from KRC Genk last summer, but, the club eventually got relegated to Serie B and the Nigerian has no plan of playing in the lower division.
The 27-year-old is also keen on joining Rangers because of Champions League football.
Dessers cost Cremonese 6.5 million euros, and still has a contract until the summer of 2027, but, there is no chance that he will see it out, so the Club is willing to sell and recoup some money.
The Forward made 26 league appearances, scoring six times and providing two assists for Cremonese last season.
