Super Falcons Captain Desire Oparanozie upon her arrival from the Women’s World Cup has stated her plans for her foundation.
She expressed the need to do more for her foundation and highlighted the support she got from the Imo state government, the first lady of Imo State and the former Olympian Chioma Ajunwa towards her cause.
The Striker disclosed that the reason she started the foundation is to ensure female athletes and others do not have to undergo assails from sexists which might discourage them from pursuing their dreams.
When asked in an interview if she intends on moving to another team after years of commitment to Guingamp in France, she made it clear that she loves it there and doesn’t have any plans yet.
Oparanozie made it clear that even though she has been able to reduce her bucket list of achievements, she still has some ambitions and individual benchmarks that she is yet to achieve.
Oparanozie will be returning to Guingamp at the end of the month ahead of next season’s French Division 1 Féminine set to take place in August.
