Nigerian football stars Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Kenneth Omeruo achieved their respective objectives in the closing moments of the 2023-2024 Turkish Super Lig season.

Dele-Bashiru played a significant role as Hatayaspor beat the drop with 2-0 win over Caykur Rizespor.

The midfielder scored one of the goals for his side — his eighth goal of the season for the club.

Ibrahim Olawoyin also featured for Caykur Rizespor, who themselves are already saved.

Meanwhile, Omeruo’s Kasimpasa secured a thrilling 2-1 victory over Besiktas in their final match, sealing a coveted spot in the UEFA Europa League for the upcoming season.

Despite being benched for the final game, Omeruo’s contributions throughout the season can’t be overemphasized.

The defender scored one goal and registered one assist in 24 games, for Kasimpasa.

However, his omission from the Super Eagles’ squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers raises speculation about his fitness and international future.
