Former Flying Eagles midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru has signed a new three-year contract with Championship club Watford, extending his stay at Vicarage Road until 2028.
Dele-Bashiru’s previous contract was set to expire in 2025, but the club has opted to secure his services for an additional three years.
The 24-year-old Nigerian has been with Watford since 2019.
Despite facing injury challenges that disrupted his early time with the club, Dele-Bashiru made a significant comeback last season.
He emerged as one of Watford’s top performers, playing in 38 games and scoring four goals during the 2023/24 season.
Dele-Bashiru is currently participating in pre-season training with Watford as they prepare for the new season, which kicks off with an away game against Millwall on August 10.
“I’m excited to continue my journey with Watford and grateful for the opportunity to extend my contract. I’m looking forward to contributing to the team’s success in the coming years,” Dele-Bashiru remarked on his contract extension.
