Kelechi Iheanacho fired blank as Leicester City lost 3-0 to Man United at Old Trafford this Sunday.

It was a battle of two in form players in the Premier League; Kelechi Iheanacho who went into the encounter with five goals involvement in his last two Premier League games for the Foxes.

On the other hand, all eyes were on Manchester United’s man of the moment, Marcus Rashford, who has 16goals in 17games since the World Cup ended in December.

It was also his seventh consecutive goal scoring Premier League appearance at Old Trafford – the first Manchester United player to do that since Wayne Rooney in 2010.

At the end of the hostility, Rashford came out on top with two goals, while Iheanacho’s fine header was halted.

Iheanacho had his moment early first half, sending a fine header on target, but Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea was equal to the task, beating the ball away to keep the score level.

Few minutes later, Rashford put Manchester United ahead with a fine finish from inside the area.

In the second half, the Red Devils came out on the front foot, looking to extend their lead from the first whistle.

And after 56 minutes Manchester United doubled their advantage, Fred played in Rashford who was able to calmly slide past Danny Ward.

The game finished 3-0, with Jadon Sancho scoring the third for United who themselves closed the gap on crosstown rivals, Manchester City and move just five points behind league leaders Arsenal.

Meanwhile, 25-year-old Iheanacho attempted four shots, but none found the back of the net before he was substituted in the 74th minute.
