Coach of mark mentors basketball club, Adeaka Daodu has hinted that his team will not back down this weekend when they travel on the road to face Gombe bulls in the ongoing 2017 NBBF league season.
After loosing to Gombe bulls 74-62 last month, Adeaka Daodu, the coach of Mark Mentors stated that his team did not live up to expectations and they are ready to come up with a better performance when they travel to face their counterparts this weekend.
In the game played at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Gombe Bulls took control of the match from the onset and won the first quarter 23-15.
They went on to hold on to their lead and go into the game’s break 35 -27 , while the third quarter saw Mark Mentors bouncing back to end it 50-50.
But in the fourth quarter, Gombe Bulls broke free to re-establish dominance by winning 74-62.
Adeaka noted that irrespective of the outcome in the last game and how hostile the Gombe side could be, they will not allow their hostility to affect their game, stating that they are going there to protect their name.
