Glasgow Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers has affirmed his commitment to staying at Ibrox Stadium, dispelling rumors of a potential exit.

Dessers, has been linked with moves to Greek Champions PAOK and newly promoted Serie A side Cagliari.

“I am very happy here, so I would like to stay,” the 29-year-old Nigeria international stated as expressed his contentment at the club in an interview with Ziggo Sport Voetbal.

“There is some interest, but my intention is to stay and then we will see what happens.”

In his debut season at Rangers, Dessers netted 22 goals and provided eight assists, proving his importance to the team.

Having joined on a four-year deal last summer, he is now focused on the upcoming season, which begins on August 3 with an away fixture against Hearts.

The former Genk and Feyenoord man helped the Gers win the League Cup last season, although they fall short in the league and Scottish Cup.
