Super Falcons’ striker, Desire Oparanozie has downplayed the 1-0 loss the team suffered in the final group match against Belgium at the ongoing Cyprus Women’s Cup.
Oparanozie told brila.net that the essence of the competition is to get the team in proper shape and work on all departments as they continue preparations for the FIFA Women’s World Cup in France.
“The Cyprus Cup is not all about winning for us because we are working on an overall improvement to get us ready for the World Cup. The coaches are doing their best by giving everyone an opportunity to show what they can do”, she stated.
